EPL: City beat United to top the league

Manchester City defeated Manchester City 1-0 in a derby encounter played at the Etihad Stadium on Monday to top the league table on goal difference.

The goal of the match came through a header from Vincent Kompany when he headed in a corner crossed by David Silva in the added minute of the first half.

Manchester City and Manchester United both have 83 points each but city top them with eight goals difference.

With just two games remaining for both clubs in the league this season, City are hoping to win their first league title since 1968.
