Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup final after trashing Tottenham 5-1 at Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea will now meet Liverpool who had earlier secured a place in the final on Saturday after they defeated Everton 2-1.
The Blues got their first goal of the game from Didier Drogba in the 43rd to ensure that went into the break with the lead.
Four minutes into the second half Chelsea was awarded a controversial goal after Juan Mata hit a ball which the replay shows did not cross the line. Despite the complaints by Tottenham players, the referee Martin Atkinson insisted on his decision.
Tottenham got back to the game after Gareth Bale easy finish in the 56th minute but Chelsea showed their superiority by scoring three more goals to secure their 11th FA Cup semi final. The goals came from Ramires, Lampard and Malouda.
