Lionel Messi grabbed his 60th goal of the season in all
competitions as Barcelona beat Zaragoza 4-1 on Saturday. The 24 year old
forward got a brace in the match. The first goal came in the 39th minute while
the other was from the penalty spot five minutes to the end of the match.
So far this season Messi has scored 38 La Liga goals, 14 in
the Champions League, 3 Supercopa goals, 2 in the Copa del Rey, 2 in the Club
World Cup and 1in the Uefa Super Cup.
His 60th goal this season puts him seven goals behind Gerd
Muller’s all time record for a single European season.
