With the recent poor performance of Liverpool, some reports
say that the future of Kenny Dalglish with the club is not sure but Lawrenson
thinks otherwise.
The former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson believes the
Scottish manager will not be sacked and his job is not yet in jeopardy. He however
said that the upcoming match with Aston Villa is a must win match for Dalglish.
Liverpool has lost six in their last seven league games, the
last being a 2-0 defeat against by Newcastle.
In a chat with BBC Radio 5 live, the five-time League Championship
winner Lawrenson said
“They have villa at home at the weekend and I hate saying it’s
a must win, but it is. We live in an instant media world, but I think the
Liverpool owners are in it for the end game.
“I think he (Dalglish) will be fine, but at any level, you
have to win games. I really don’t believe he will be sacked.”
