Enugu Rangers reclaimed the top spot of the premier league
after defeating Shooting Stars of Ibadan by three goals to two. The goals for
the Flying Antelope’s were scored by Chikeluba Ofoedu, Rasaq Adegbite and
Chinedu Sunday, while Talabi Olumakinde scored the two goals for shooting stars
of Ibadan.
At the Aba township stadium, Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw
by Akwa United. Enyimba who are now second on the league table got their goal
from Onyekachi Okoye while Dauda equalised for the visitors.
Heartland of Owerri lost at home to Sharks of Port Harcourt
by a goal which came from Gomo Onduku. Two minutes to the end of the match
Heartland was awarded a penalty but was unable to score.
