Fight to survive relegation continues




As the league season gradually comes to an end, most of the teams in the relegation zone are fighting to avoid being relegated.
In the English Premier league, Queens Park Rangers beat Arsenal by two goals to one while Wigan Athletic defeated Stoke by two goals to zero. The victory by the two teams though was unable to move them out of the relegation zone.

Queen Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic occupy the 18th and 19th position respectively in the league table with 28 points each. Wolverhampton Wanderers lost two goals to three at home against Bolton Wanderers in their last game. Wolverhampton is currently at the bottom of the league table with just 22 points.
In the Spanish Primera Division, Real Zaragoza is 18th on the league table with 28 points. Racing Santander 19th on the league table 25 points and sporting Gijon who finished 10th in the league table last season is at the bottom of the table with 25 points.
With six games left to play in the German Bundesliga, FC Cologne, Hertha Berlin and Kaiserslautern occupy the bottom of the league table with 28, 26, and 20 points respectively.
Elsewhere in the Italian Serie A, Lecce is 18th on the league table with 28 points, Novara 19th with 24 points and Cesena 20th with 19 points.
