Liverpool’s woe continued as they lost again in an away game
against Newcastle United by two goals. The two goals came from Papiss Cisse in
the 19th and 59th minute of the game.
Former Newcastle players Carroll and Enrique were not given
a welcome reception by Newcastle fans. It was not a good game for Carroll as
fans booed him and he went down straight to the tunnel after he was replaced.
Liverpool’s keeper Pepe Reina was sent off nine minutes to
the end of the match after he head butted James Perch. This result leaves Kenny
Dalglish’s men 8th on the league table with 53 points.
